MAGIC ABILITY: Yang will have the ability to swap emotions with anyone of her choosing. She can only do this once a day, and the swap will only last for one hour. When she swaps emotions with someone, both parties will feel these emotions amplified to some degree. As an example, if Yang is feeling happy and Person B is feeling irritable, when the swap happens, Yang will feel angry and Person B will feel elated. Therefore, she must use this power wisely and strategically (and I will always ask for permission to do so).
ANY WEAPONS/MAGICAL ITEMS?: I'd like Yang to keep her robotic arm as her weapon.

CANON RWBY
CANON POINT V5E6, right as Yang and Weiss enter Raven's portal.
HISTORY: Here!
PERSONALITY:
Yang is a fierce young woman with a lot of heart. She exudes confidence and power while also showing kindness and compassion to those she meets. She's generally carefree and lighthearted and has a sarcastic sense of humor. She's not hard to get along with and makes friends easily, but isn't afraid to call people out when it's necessary, either.
That being said, while she can be flippant about many things, she generally takes challenges very seriously. In fact, she has a very short temper in battle, which has gotten her into some very ugly situations that have nearly cost Yang her life.
In the earlier seasons of RWBY, Yang's rage has caused her to act very predictably. Once angered, she would often charge head first into situations without any strategy. Her opponents could get a good read on her, though her most notable battle that involved extreme consequences was when she faced Adam during the fall of Beacon. In fairness, Yang had just seen Adam stab Blake, which understandably set off her rage; but she still charged in without thinking things through or being strategic about it, and lost her right forearm in the process.
The fall of Beacon took a huge emotional toll on Yang: Two of her friends lost their lives, she lost her arm, and Blake ran away after what happened with Adam. As a result, Yang became depressed and withdrawn, pushing away everyone including her own sister, Ruby. She loses hope, tells Ruby that bad things just happen, and doesn't respond even when Ruby says "I love you". Yang also develops PTSD from losing her arm and initially struggles to accept the cybernetic arm that was made for her. Her hand trembles when she's experiencing trauma, and she also has flashbacks involving Adam that leave her shaken up. However, her father's support helps Yang begin the process of moving forward. She trains with him and gets used to battling with her new arm. In fact, in Volume 5, Yang shows off her new arm and its functions to her friends during an arm wrestling match against Nora, showing that she's embraced it and isn't afraid to use it anymore. The sunny part of her personality begins to resurface again, and she is able to rebuild her confidence and care for her friends and family once more.
One part of Yang that hasn't changed throughout all six volumes thus far is that she's very nurturing and supportive towards her loved ones, especially Ruby. In light of her father having an emotional breakdown after losing both Raven and Summer, Yang embarks on a journey to search for Raven, her biological mother; but not without Ruby. Yang wheeled Ruby in a wagon, even when her body became worn and tired. After being attacked by Grimm and saved by Qrow, Yang was ashamed of her actions because they put Ruby in danger; she then resolved to continue her search for Raven but swore to not let the search consume her so she could take better care of Ruby. She also shows love and affection towards her other friends, too, especially towards her other teammates, Weiss and Blake. In Volume 5, when Yang finds Weiss at the Branwen Tribe's camp and discovers that Raven kidnapped Weiss, Yang gets upset; they have some downtime soon after, and Yang and Weiss share a heartfelt hug upon being reunited, in which Yang tells Weiss that she's missed her.
Yang and Blake have also been through a lot during the course of the series. The earlier volumes show their friendship progressing, but their relationship is strained after Yang loses her arm. Yang is upset that Blake left after the battle, but once Blake reunites with RWBY, Yang tries to put that aside and tells her that what matters is that they're together again. Things between them are still rocky, and when Blake tells Yang she'll protect her when they face Adam, Yang is offended. This is because Yang doesn't want to be protected and sheltered; she wants to fight alongside Blake as her equal. In the last few episodes of Volume 6, despite things still being a little awkward between them, Yang comes to Blake's aid when Blake is struggling against Adam, giving them the showdown they've been waiting for. Blake grabs Yang's hand, much to Yang's surprise, and states that they're protecting each other, which is what Yang wanted to hear all along. Blake breaks down once they defeat Adam and Yang immediately comforts her, reassuring her friend that she knows she won't go back on her promise--that she'd never leave Yang again.
Which is...quite the contrary to her relationship with her biological mother, Raven. Yang has some abandonment issues when it comes to Raven since her mother left when she was younger. She's cold and distrusting towards Raven because of her hurt, and upon finding Raven, tells her she only wants to speak to her so Raven can open up a portal to lead her to Ruby and Qrow. One particularly powerful moment between them is when Yang insists on taking the Relic of Knowledge because she believes Raven doesn't know what strength is. When Raven counters her by saying Yang's scared, Yang isn't afraid to admit that she is."Yeah, I'm scared. But I'm still standing here! I'm not like you, I won't run, which is why you're going to give me the Relic."
This quote represents Yang's inner strength perfectly. In fact, Blake even says that Yang is the embodiment of "strength"--it's definitely not wrong. Yang shows not only physical strength, but emotional prowess as well; she's become a lot stronger and a lot more strategic in battle, and she's learned to persevere through adversity. She has her fears but she never backs down; she fights her own battles and never wants anyone to take the fall for her mistakes. Yang carries on in spite of fear, in spite of her trauma, and continues to fight alongside her team to take down Salem and protect Remnant. Her bravery, fueled by her love and care for her loved ones, propels her forward and keeps her in the fight.
CANON POWERS:
SEMBLANCE. I'm going to quote the RWBY Wiki directly to describe what a Semblance is, exactly: "Semblance is the manifestation of one's innate and personal power as an ability unique to each individual, with the effects varying greatly from user to user." Yang's Semblance grants her the ability to absorb energy from the blows she takes to make her more powerful. She gets double the strength she's hit with and powers up significantly. Her Semblance also causes her eyes to glow red, and flames radiate around her hair when she's angry.
AURA. Same deal, quoting from the Wiki: "Aura is the manifestation of one's soul in the RWBY universe, and can be used for a wide range of abilities." Yang's Aura coats her body in a shield and protects her when unlocked.
WEAPONS. Yang currently has two weapons: The first is called Ember Celica, a gauntlet (she formerly had two, now she only has one) that serves as an arm guard when it's activated. Ember Celica can create pulses of kinetic energy and also comes with a shotgun function. The second is her cybernetic arm. It's very strong, has a shotgun equipped to it, and can be detached and fired like a projectile. (I probably won't really be making use of the last one unless it's absolutely necessary, though, as I don't want to make anyone potentially uncomfortable. I'll definitely put up the appropriate CWs if it ever comes to that!)
COMBAT. Yang is skilled in hand-to-hand combat. She's agile and primarily fights with her fists. Before, she used to rely heavily on her Semblance to fight; now, she employs strategy and is capable of outwitting her opponents, even if they're more powerful than her. She's physically the strongest member of RWBY.
